Meet The Snow'flakes' (Mr., Mrs. & Child)!

Snow! Glorious Snow! We are being caressed by a beautiful, cozy blanket of snowfall that has been descending upon us since last evening!

A Poem by Mummy & Cowgirl - January 2010
We eagerly watched with hopeful hearts as two little snowflakes appeared in the sky. They drifted down from the snowy heavens, and soon they both caught our curious eyes!

Taking their time, down, down, down they fell without making nary a sound.
Those two little snowflakes must hve invited their friends because soon ... there was snow all around!

This is the first time I can recall ever having this much snow down south here, and it is a welcome phenomenon! School has been closed for the day and Cowgirl was beside herself with excitement when she woke to such an abundance of good news!
There's not a sledge to be found in our house, unfortunately, because we've not needed it before today (we've historically only had a dusting or an inch or so for a day or two before it melts away and snowfall like this happens about every 10-20 years in the region of the south where we are in the UK)! But we're managing to improvise quite nicely and we're finding plenty to do with this gift from the heavens!

We hope that, wherever you are, you are tucked up warm and cosy, and safe and sound!
